The Man Behind the Lens

My name is Michael Osei, I am a Ghanaian-American photographer based in Maryland. I shoot primarily on medium format film and I model my work based on fashion editorials, both from the past and the present, in hopes of inspiring the future. My inspiration developed as a youth surrounded by fashion and photography. With a keen detail on rich and vibrant colors, as well as a mix of energetic images of people in motion and a nice contrast of more subdued and intimate shots, I hope to tell a story to all who view my work. I also hope to provide an introspection into who I am and how life experiences shape my art.
